Exhibitionism. A funny word formation, situation but not so funny a conclusion I’m afraid. It refers to the compulsory need for one to exhibit private parts of his body in public to see that public’s reaction. In my opinion Exhibitionism is more evident than that scarce situation we are referring to. In fact, I see Exhibitionism where ever I look. I think it s a very human-like behavior. Humans like to show certain parts of their bodies, jewelry, cars and even religion. I don’t have a problem with that as I am no exception of the human race.
I found that what bothers me is the cocky and pathetic way people prefer to opt to when trying to get others attention. I think attention and interest are very easily and naturally generated because humans are curious enough to notice things. If your aim is to get noticed, you don’t have to do anything more than be there in front of the people’s eyes, because these move a lot in all directions.
Nowadays, the celebrity based culture is making this worse; everyone wants to be the local celebrity wherever he or she is. I find this very confusing and funny most of the time, but there are times when it becomes a belligerent eye opener!
