Barack Hussein Obama took the presidency oath tonight in Washington DC, to be legally inaugurated as the 44th president of the United States of America after the world held its breath during the presidential campaign only to breathe a sigh of relief over the announcement of elections’ results last November. Perhaps this is the happiest occasion in the life of Obama - at least so far - who became both envied and unenvied by many. I have followed your inauguration ceremony and was affected by your overwhelming happiness. It was a historic day, no doubt about that.
Finally, Obama you have become the most powerful man in the world. Because this is a happy occasion, or so perceived, I decided to send you some present, but what can you give to the President of the United States and perhaps the president of the world as some would like to call you for different purposes?
Truth is, this question does not fit well with my financial resources, and therefore decided not to indulge in a failed attempt to answer it as it should be. I have an idea: I will make you my imaginary friend, Obama for the duration of your presidency and you may seek my opinion on whatever world affairs you wish. I’ve also decided to write your diary as you are my imaginary friend. As the Arab tradition says that a gift cannot be turned down or sold; it’s done with. I will call it Black President’s Days in The White House.
